Body
Mass Index (BMI)
BMI calculates
body fat according to the relationship of weight and height.
What
does your result mean?
BMI less then 20 = Underweight
BMI between 20 and 25 = Healthy Range
BMI over 25 = Overweight
BMI over 27 = Significantly Overweight
BMI over 30 = Obese
Note:
Since BMI calculations use total body weight and not estimates of
lean muscle mass and fat, it can not determine between the overweight
and the more muscular. BMI testing does not work for anyone under
18, for bodybuilders and pregnant or nursing women.
